Craig Mackail-Smith is out with an Achilles injury, former Forest loanie Will Hoskins will be missing with a knee problem and leading scorer Leo Ulloa was stretchered off in their 1 - 1 draw against Sheffield Wednesday with a stress fracture.
Forest summer transfer target Liam Bridcutt may also miss out with a hernia & Andrea Orlandi with miss a further month with a knee injury.
In the absence of almost the entire Brighton strike force the goal scoring responsibilities will fall to Ashley Barnes who was a top performer for Brighton last season with 5 assists & 9 goals from 37 appearances as they reached the Championship play offs.
Guy Moussi, Kelvin Wilson & Jamie Paterson could all be recalled after recent injuries.
The talented midfielder has been quiet recently but is due a match winning performance.
There have been 26 previous league meetings between these two clubs with Forest taking 11 wins, 8 draws & 7 Brighton wins. There have been 55 goals scored in total from those league fixtures with Forest scoring 33 of them.
The last three games between the two have been drawn with Forest failing to win in any of the last 5 league encounters.
Saturdays referee will be Craig Pawson. In his 5 games this season so far he has dished out 24 yellow card with 1 red & one penalty. He was, sadly, the referee who took charge of our recent defeat to Wigan for which Billy Davies received a touchline ban for verbally abusing him in what was a pretty woeful performance.
In his career to date he has taken charge of 156 games, Issued 436 yellow, 24 red & awarded 44 penalties.
He will be assisted by Mark Scholes & Matthew Wilkes with Andy Woolmer acting as 4th official
