Forest v Blackburn - Match Report From Kids Corner

Bash9's Match Report for the Sky Bet Championship clash between Forest and Blackburn.

Match report from kids corner, Forest v Blackburn, Saturday 18th January.

Forest are looking strong at home after winning their last 3 games at the City Ground, against an inform Blackburn squad without Jordan Rhodes who was dropped to the bench.

Forest were also without the excellent defensive partnership of Hobbs and Lascelles.

Here we go then, Forest started the game with a high tempo, raining down chances for Mackie, Vaughan, Cox and Lansbury but none of them finding the back of the net.

Then in the 14th minute Henri Lansbury broke through the defence and was arguably fowled by one of the Blackburn men, penalty!

Lansbury stepped up to take it and smashed the ball towards the keeper who was unlucky to not be able to keep it out of the net, 1-0.

After dominating possession with a few more chances a neat peace of skill by Paterson lead to another Blackburn defender bringing him down in the box, penalty again - no doubt about this one!

Once again Lansbury stepped up but this time his shot was unstoppable, smashed into the roof of the net, 2-0.

Just after Forest fans had settled down Blackburn produced a goal of their own after forest failed to clear there lines. Decent finish by Marshall from outside the area, 2-1.

Half time arrived with Forest inviting pressure on themselves. A good quality half from the reds but still in need of a striker to kill games off in the first half.

Forest kicked off the second half still inviting pressure from Blackburn and Darlow had to make a couple of good saves, Forest too had good chances through Lansbury and Cox before the form player for Forest, Paterson, danced past a couple of players and placed the ball into the bottom corner of the net, great goal, 3-1 game over!

Forest kept good possession right until the dying embers of the match only having a few more chances and then right in the last few minutes Andy Reid put the cherry on top with a corker of a goal right into the top corner, 4-1 full time!

A fantastic performance from the reds and more importantly another win!
